A Rose Upon a Thorn

The Friends of Music would like to inform you the first concert for 2021 will be performed at St James' Church, King Street Sydney, Directed by Warren Trevelyan-Jones, and performed by The Choir of St James'. Featuring continuo instrumentalists Alistair Nelson (chamber organ) and Rachel Scott (cello), this concert will span music from the Baroque, to modern times. Showcasing the expertise and versatility of the Choir, we embark on a journey of exquisite music, commencing with the bombastic Komm Jesu Komm, to the elegant and filigreed Scarlatti's Stabat Mater for 10 voices, to some chilled Nordic cool to aid our Lenten reflection.
