Mission Statement

 

The Friends of Music at St James’ assist promoting Sydney’s Finest Music. We assist by building an active supportive network for music at St James’.

It is the Friends’ objective each year, to raise funds of at least $10,000 in order to facilitate the production of a CD or other essential contribution towards performance and the broader musical program of St James’.

Our objective for 2024 is to raise sufficient funds (upwards of 30K) to assist the production of this year's Concert Series to launch of the new $4M organ at St James'.

This superb Concert Series to commence in July 2024, will be a diverse mix of organ and choral performances by both overseas and local artists. Official announcements shortly.

We shall be introducing our amazing new Organ to the City of Sydney!

This is a time when your support is truly needed, as we support initiatives for and invest in the future of the Choir of St James'.

We understand times are difficult for many, but we also know there is great generosity in people’s hearts, especially where there is beautiful music involved. Think of it as contributing to our cultural future – one that is so perilous.
